ToolGuru PDF Editor v2.2 — startup and layout repair Fixes browser WASM initialization from Blob modules (Invalid URL), reduces the title gap on pages containing this tool, reduces the editor hero space and automatically sizes the iframe. Includes startup/error status instead of leaving a broken Open PDF button enabled. UPDATE: WordPress → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Choose the v2.2 ZIP, Install Now, then Replace current with uploaded. Keep the existing page and [tg_pdf_editor] shortcode. Clear LiteSpeed/site cache after updating. Validation: browser-mode WASM loader reproduces the old Invalid URL and passes after repair; real PDF file-input processing, replacement, deletion, Undo, navigation, rotation, page deletion and download handlers pass automated checks. Full updated WordPress page must still be checked after installation. v2.1 hosting compatibility update: self-contained editor HTML; all runtime dependencies embedded to avoid static JS/module/WASM loading failures. Viewport-width editor wrapper in shortcode and block. Engine and features unchanged. ToolGuru PDF Studio v2.0 — existing-text editing =============================================== INSTALL / UPDATE 1. WordPress > Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Choose ToolGuru-PDF-Editor-v2-WordPress.zip. 2. If v1 is installed, choose Replace current with uploaded. Do not activate both copies. 3. Activate ToolGuru PDF Editor. Create/edit the PDF Editor page, insert the native ToolGuru PDF Editor block, publish. Alternatively use a Shortcode block containing [tg_pdf_editor]. 4. Add this page link to your theme's existing tools directory. This plugin does not automatically create a homepage tool card. USE Open PDF > Edit existing text > click a line (or choose it in the dropdown). Edit the replacement field > Replace text > Download edited PDF. Remove text deletes the chosen line. Undo restores up to 15 recent snapshots (60 MB combined cap). No account, API subscription, watermark, or upload server. PDF bytes stay in the browser. Libraries are bundled and served locally. This does not govern analytics or other plugins on your site. The standalone ToolGuru-PDF-Editor-v2.html contains its own libraries; open with a current browser or serve over HTTPS. WHAT IS ACTUALLY EDITED The engine removes original glyph content using MuPDF redaction with no fill, no image removal, and no vector removal. It verifies the remaining page text, then writes replacement selectable text. It saves a rewritten PDF, not an incremental revision. It does not cover the original text with a white rectangle. One selectable English/Western text line at a time. Original baseline and color are preserved; a similar Helvetica/Times/Courier font is substituted. Font size shrinks when needed, with a 6 pt floor. Long text that cannot fit is rejected. No paragraph reflow. No promise of exact original font metrics. Unsupported mixed-font/color/size lines, angled writing, Urdu/Arabic/CJK text editing, and unsupported replacement characters are rejected before committing. If the engine cannot isolate the line without changing other page text, the operation is rejected and original bytes retained. Scanned/image PDFs need OCR, which this version does not include. Text converted to vector outlines cannot be selected. Password-protected files unsupported. Limit 25 MB / 150 pages. Complex forms, XFA, PDF/A conformance, tags/accessibility reading order, attachments and signed PDF preservation are not guaranteed; editing invalidates digital signatures. Drawn signature is an image only. This is a text editor, not a security-redaction tool: copies in metadata, attachments, other pages and undo memory are not scrubbed. Review downloaded documents before sharing. No guarantee for every PDF. VALIDATION Real exported-PDF checks cover deletion/replacement, independent pypdf extraction, decoded page stream, baseline position, colored backgrounds, all four page rotations, crop boxes, longer-text fitting, unsupported-character rejection, scanned pages, embedded-font PDFs, page count, and untouched neighboring text. UI handlers checked with real edits and a simulated DOM: selection, replacement, deletion, undo, navigation, rotation and page removal. PDF.js preview rendered independently with Node canvas. No live WordPress/PHP or browser layout run was possible here; hosting/browser compatibility is not claimed as tested. HOSTING Static iframe and WASM run in the visitor's browser. No Python, FFmpeg or VPS needed. Serve .wasm as application/wasm where possible (loader also falls back to ArrayBuffer). Site CSP must permit this iframe's local scripts, WASM compilation, and blob workers. On optimization plugins exclude the editor iframe assets from script rewriting. Large PDFs may be slow on phones. ZIP includes a ~90 MB MuPDF corresponding-source archive for open-source compliance. If your dashboard upload limit is lower than the ZIP size, extract locally and upload the toolguru-pdf-editor folder to wp-content/plugins via your hosting File Manager/FTP, then activate.
